Another shameless promotion of the Google brand. Adsense is serving Google’s G logo on random publisher sites. Its on the right, beside “Advertise on Google” text. As if they weren’t hyped already.

Firefox 2.0 is out. It looks more like IE now. Actually almost the same interface. New tabs and other stuff. Make sure your websites are working to be on the safe side.

Yahoo is testing new design for home page. And I don’t like it. I have had Yahoo for 8 years now set as default homepage. Four browsers and dozen search engines could not make me switch. Now this design just sucks. I hate the clutter, too many ads, and most importantly, miss the simplicity. I hope Yahoo sticks to its old design.

Check out for yourself.

I was bored last Wednesday in one my class. So I figured to have some creative fun. My resource: Suse Linux and ahhh, Suse Linux. First, I customized my desktop. Second with bunch of terminal window I created these. Who says Linux is boring?

Google is testing new search interface for select users. Click on the image to check it out.

Google New Interface

How can you test it out yourself?

  1. Go to Google
  2. Paste this code on top of the browser and enter. (at the location of your URL) javascript:alert(document.cookie=”PREF=ID=fb7740f107311e46:TM=1142683332:LM=1142683332:S=fNSw6ljXTzvL3dWu;path=/;domain=.google.co.uk”)
  3. Make sure the code is in one line. It resets your cookie.

Personally, I hate the new interface. It provides clutter in my vision, or maybe I am too used too the current interface. Try it yourself.

What I find interesting is the Page Rank displayed on different type of search engines.
